Before you find your ball you need to lose it.
The process involves just 3 steps.

  1. Place the ball on the tee peg from the longest part of the tee.
  2. Hit your ball into oblivion.
  3. Replace the tee peg into the find a ball tees.

Don't forget: If you do think you've lost your ball
it's always advisable to play a provisional.
Wait until your partners have played before you go looking.

Now go looking for the ball.

Note: Although you only need to use the find a ball tees if you think you've lost your ball, it's a good idea to practice using the find a ball tees as often as you can.

  1. For best results, start from where you played your stroke.
  2. Holding the find a ball tees in front of you, walk towards the ball.
  3. As you near where you thought your ball went, look carefully for signs of bending.

  5. Once you notice it, turn around to find where it's stronger.
  6. You may need to walk forwards or backwards.
